In 3D rendering, imperfections create realism.
Real-world objects are rarely flawless. From slight texture irregularities to subtle surface wear, these imperfections are what make renders feel alive and believable.
Incorporate smudges, scratches and uneven lighting to increase visual authenticity and to elicit more of an emotional response from the viewer ✨

Part 2: UX writing vs. copywriting – What’s the difference? 🤔
While both UX writing and copywriting involve crafting text, their goals are quite different.
UX writing focuses on guiding users through a digital product, making sure interactions are smooth and intuitive.
Copywriting, on the other hand, is more about persuasion, aiming to capture attention and drive action.

Clear communication is key in UX/UI design. To make content accessible for all users, offering simplified language is important. Simplified language focuses on using clear, straightforward words that everyone can easily understand.
Because it’s easier to read, simplified language is more inclusive and helps ensure your message is delivered without confusion.
Many accessible websites offer a simplified language option. But we'd like to hear from you: Should simplified language be the default on websites, or do you see reasons against it? Share your thoughts in the comments!

🚨 Is Your Digital Service or Product Ready for the European Accessibility Act (EAA)? 🚨
The European Accessibility Act (EAA) will come into force on June 28, 2025. This means that digital services and products of any business with at least 10 staff and a turnover above €2 million as well as of any business that trades in the EU need to be compliant with specified accessibility standards. These are built on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA.
🔍 Why It Matters Now:
There is less than one year left to optimise digital products and services. Redesign and development projects typically require a substantial amount of time, meaning that this really should not be left to the last minute.
Non-compliance could not only result in legal repercussions, but also alienate a significant portion of your audience. We therefore recommend that you evaluate your service or product and make the necessary changes.
Let’s all work together to make the digital world accessible to everyone 💪

Developing a variety of design drafts is an important step in the industrial design process – as is revising them based on technical feedback regarding feasibility or simply preference.
Take a look at the drafts our industrial designer, Michael, created for the ENGEL CC300 plus control unit, along with the final design. ✨

Prospective clients often ask us, “How much does a 3D render cost?” The same applies to 3D animations. Our answer? “It depends.” Not at all because we don’t want to be transparent with our prices, but because it is true:
Depending on the length, style, level of detail (of the product as well as the background), complexity of camera movements, special effects, modelling of additional assets and so on, costs can range from around €500 for a very simple render to around €5,000 and beyond for a complex one with a very detailed background. 3D animations start at roughly €2,500 for a very basic project, whereas complex product teasers with a photorealistic look typically range from €15,000 to €30,000.
To give an example, we took a 3D model of an ENGEL injection moulding machine to show you the starting point as well as three different levels of quality:
1. This is what the 3D model looks like when we open it with a 3D programme
2. Already pretty photorealistic, but without essential details
3. Photorealictic rendering with reflections, modelling of additional machine parts, added details such as a screen on the display etc.
4. The same detailed and photorealistic rendering, but placed in a detailed production hall
These levels of execution are why it is essential to understand client expectations before estimating a project. We can offer different levels of quality based on the client’s needs, budget and timeline.

When developing innovative digital products with our clients, we recommend starting with a PoC (Proof of Concept) and an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) before programming the final product with all its functionalities.
Why are a PoC and MVP so important?
A PoC is essentially a verification method that helps test the feasibility of a software idea on a smaller scale. In a way, it is a project before the project. It requires research on elements that you need (e.g. a reliable weather provider for a specific area so you can forecast energy production of photovoltaic systems). Furthermore, you need a basic interface and a test environment (potentially with test devices) to verify if your product can achieve what you set out to do.
An MVP is what follows next if the PoC proves successful. The MVP looks and works like a basic version of the final product; it has enough features to attract early-adopter customers and to validate a product idea. User feedback is collected and applied to iterate and improve the product before scaling it up.
Including a PoC and MVP in your development process pays off as it allows you to gain insights and feedback before investing a large sum of money into something that may not work or that your users may not need in this form. Instead, you can use the collected information to develop a product that is tailored to the needs and wants of your users.
If you are looking for a partner to develop your new product with, contact us for a non-binding and free consultation at contact@peschke.at. We look forward to your project idea!
