Barrierefreiheit im Web ist kein „Nice-to-have“, sondern essenziell für erfolgreiche digitale Produkte – und sie hängt zu 80 % vom Code und zu 20 % vom Design ab. 💡
Code-Faktoren (80 %):
» Saubere HTML-Struktur & semantische Elemente
» ARIA-Attribute korrekt nutzen
» Tastatur-Navigation sicherstellen
» Kontraststarke & skalierbare Texte
» Alternativtexte für Bilder & Medien
Design-Faktoren (20 %):
» Klare Hierarchien & verständliche Layouts
» Farbkontraste & Schriftgrößen optimieren
» Interaktive Elemente optisch hervorheben bzw. differenzieren

Motion capture is a skill – and our 3D artist @salve.vision has mastered it. With the support of Smartgloves (@hellorokoko), we can capture natural hand movements and interactions with 3D props seamlessly. 🎭
The recorded motion data is then retargeted onto the character rig and refined. In this way, we create dynamic and lifelike 3D characters for our clients' animations.✨

The new display design for Vienna’s U2 metro line has sparked criticism for being highly confusing.
Anyone looking at the board can tell that. But what specifically makes it so problematic from a design perspective?
» Redundant indicators: Stations with connecting lines feature three different indicators: outlined labels, outlined circles, plus the label of the connecting line underneath the circle. While redundancy can be valuable for making a design more accessible, it fails to do so in this case.
» Inconsistent labelling: “Schottentor” has the same outlined label as stations with connecting lines. This contradicts the logic of the other label outlines.
» Visual clutter: The display shows three different types of labels and three different types of circles, along with greyed-out versions of each. With so much going on, it is hard to spot the most important information.
Do you agree? What would you design differently?

Icons are everywhere in our digital lives. They quietly guide us through tasks on our mobile phones, tablets and more. But to stay relevant and helpful, these symbols must evolve alongside changing technologies and user behaviour.
Take the phone icon: for younger generations who’ve only ever used smartphones, the image of a landline handset might feel outdated. Similarly, the "Save" icon – a floppy disk – holds little meaning for Gen Z, who’ve likely never encountered one. With cloud storage and parallel use of several devices becoming the norm, a term like "sync" might also better reflect modern workflows compared to “save”.
When updating icons, it is important that they remain clear and resonate with a diverse audience, spanning different generations and cultural contexts.
What do you think? When should an icon get an update, and which ones feel outdated to you? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments! 👇

Bringing 3D characters to life is no small feat, but with the right technology – and a motivated 3D artist willing to squeeze himself into a tight motion capture suit – we’re making it happen 🌟
For our latest project, we've been working on character animation as part of a product video for a window hardware producer, using the Rokoko SmartSuit Pro II and Smartgloves (@hellorokoko). This advanced motion capture setup allows us to record natural movements and interactions with 3D props. 🎭✨
Our production pipeline takes the captured motion data through retargeting onto the character rig and seamlessly imports it into Unreal Engine 5 for further refinement. The result? A dynamic and lifelike 3D character ready to shine (e.g. by opening windows in our animation 🤓).
Here is a quick insight into character movement and our 3D Artist Florian (@salve.vision) using his Rokoko equipment 🧑🚀

In October, ZEISS pulled out all the stops at the ‘ZEISS QUALITY INNOVATION SUMMIT’, the year’s biggest metrology industry event. ⚙️
We had the exciting challenge of bringing ZEISS MMZ G to life – one of their largest and most impressive bridge-type coordinate measuring machines. Through our 3D product animation, we showcased its features and advantages. ✨
