Technology you can experience, directly on your website:

The 3D configurator for the industry.

The communication and marketing of complex products, machines or systems on the web is usually handled through data sheets, explanations, photos or static renderings. For customers, however, this does not make it possible to experience what defines a product, what is “under the hood” or how it actually works.

A 3D configurator allows your customers to explore your product interactively – directly in the browser. From a simple 3D view to full configuration, you will find the right package for your budget and requirements.
Book your initial consultation here and we will find the best option for your project together.

Sales & product presentation

Customer appointments at the product itself are not always possible. With the configurator, prospects can explore your product independently on your website. The configurator acts as an extension of your sales team.

CPQ & sales configuration

Products in an industrial context are often not sold off the shelf, but configured individually. The configurator maps product variants, right through to peripherals or paint finishes. Used in the right way, a configuration can feed directly into the quotation process.

Technology & explanation

What isn’t visible on the outside of a machine can still be shown in the configurator. Through targeted focus points and cutaway views, you can show your customers how your product works.

Large-scale systems & complex units

Large systems cannot ususally be demonstrated physically. In the 3D configurator, they can be experienced in full — without the need for a prototype or showroom. This is a decisive advantage, especially for products that require explanation and have long sales cycles.

Defined packages – one-time, predictable costs
Packages & prices

The PESCHKE 3D configurator is a solution available in five expansion levels. You decide how much functionality you need. All packages are billed as a one-off fee, with no ongoing licence costs. You provide your existing 3D model – we optimise it for web use. If no model is available yet, we can model it for you. From the “High Performance” package onwards, the configurator is provided in your corporate design and becomes part of your brand presence.

What all packages have in common: the configurator runs entirely in the user’s browser. This means there are no loading times during use when switching between variants or materials. The result is an experience that feels smooth – on every device, in every network.

Not sure yet whether a 3D viewer or a full product configurator is the best choice for you? Let’s discuss which expansion level best suits your product, project goal and budget.

FAQs - Configurator

What is a product configurator?

Show details

A configurator is a digital tool that allows customers to explore your products interactively and configure them in different variants. This can include colours, materials, sizes, technical options, accessories or entire system combinations. The tool can be embedded directly into your website and designed to match your corporate design. Depending on the objective, the solution can range from a simple WebView with an interactive 3D model to a comprehensive configurator with variants, logic and system integration.

What are the benefits of a configurator?

Show details

A configurator makes complex products easier to understand and helps customers find the right solution faster. At the same time, it can support consulting, sales and quotation processes through clearer product communication, more qualified enquiries, shorter alignment loops, fewer follow-up questions, higher website engagement and a more professional digital sales process.

Which products and use cases are suitable for a configurator?

Show details

Configurators are particularly suitable for products and services with colour variants, options or complex relationships that require explanation. Examples include industrial machines, technical components, aircraft and vehicles, systems, plants or digital service packages. In marketing and sales, configurators can support use cases such as interactive consulting tools, product finders, quotation requests, 3D product presentations, simple WebViews or preliminary steps towards an online shop.

How can a configurator be integrated into my existing website?

Show details

A configurator can be integrated as an embedded module on your website, as a dedicated landing page, through an interface or via an iFrame. To embed it into your website, the necessary files simply need to be hosted. The most suitable solution depends on your existing website, the desired scope of functionality and any systems that need to be connected.

What data or content do I need to provide for the implementation?

Show details

For development, we usually need information about the desired functionality of the configurator, such as product variants, selection options, dependencies, prices or enquiry parameters. We also need 3D product data – ideally in .fbx, .stp, .glb or .obj format. Other formats can also be converted by us. If no 3D data is available, we can create it for you. Brand guidelines or corporate design specifications are also helpful. If not all content is available yet, we can define together which data is required for a useful first version.

Can a configurator be connected to existing systems?

Show details

Yes, configurators can be connected to existing systems such as CRM, ERP or shop systems via interfaces. This allows configurations to be submitted as enquiries in a CRM, prices to be retrieved from a system, product data to be synchronised or orders to be transferred to a shop. The specific effort depends on the existing systems, interfaces and data structures. As the configurator does not require installation or complex dependencies, it can also run largely independently as a website embed, reducing the risk of conflicts with other components on the page.

How long does it take to develop a configurator?

Show details

The development time depends heavily on the scope of functionality, the suitability of the supplied 3D data, the design requirements and possible system integrations. Simple web views – interactive 3D models without variant configuration – can be delivered in as little as two working days. More extensive configurators with variant logic, pricing logic, user accounts or ERP integration require more time. At the beginning, we define the objective, scope and technical requirements together. Based on this, the effort can be realistically estimated and divided into meaningful project phases.

Can existing CAD or 3D data be used?

Show details

Yes, we can use existing data — ideally in .fbx, .stp, .glb or .obj format. Other formats can also be converted by us. To ensure good configurator performance, the data is optimised for web use so that loading times, visual quality and interaction work well. This can include reducing file sizes, optimising materials and adapting geometries. We review the available 3D data and define what preparation is required for the desired configurator.

How secure is the data in a configurator?

Show details

Data security depends on what data is processed and which systems are connected. A configurator can be designed so that only the necessary information is captured, transferred and stored. As data is processed on the client PC (=computer that retrieves specific services or data from a central server, data transfer takes place. For this reason, sensitive 3D data, such as unprocessed construction data, should not be included in the configurator.
