Product design & CMF for the CLIC salt shaker

CMF & product design for CLIC – the first salt shaker to ensure controlled dispensing of salt and thus well-salted food for optimal enjoyment with the added health benefit of reduced salt consumption. By operating the lever, 50 mg of salt are evenly distributed over the food. Therefore, ovely salty soups and accidental ‘overdosing’ are a thing of the past. A special mechanism keeps the salt container of the CLIC hygienically closed at all times. This protects the salt from contamination or clumping.

The goal for the design and CMF was to give the CLIC an elegant and eye-catching appearance that matches its special capabilities. The aesthetic impression of salt crystals is reflected in the shape of the CLIC and is brought to the point by the integration of the lever, which can be operated with one hand. The design allows for easy cleaning both from the inside and the outside. The scratch- and shock-resistant, BPA-free, food-safe plastic supports the functioning of the mechanism with its sliding properties.
