Field studies in UX/UI are research investigations where user behavior and interaction are analyzed in real-world settings to gain authentic insights into how products or digital interfaces are used. Unlike lab experiments, field studies take place in the user’s natural environment, resulting in more realistic findings and allowing for the direct observation of unexpected usage patterns, needs, and challenges. This method is particularly valuable for understanding how design decisions function under real conditions and how users genuinely interact with an application. Field studies thus contribute to refining UX/UI designs, making them more practical and user-friendly.
