In the aerospace industry, safety is everything: When transporting hundreds of people at altitudes of 10,000 metres or above, everything has to go right. Turbine defects and resulting engine failures would have detrimental effects.

When producing safety-critical parts such as fan blades, compressor blades, blisks or turbine blades, it is therefore essential to detect and analyse production errors. This ensures that only perfect parts end up in an aircraft that meet strict regulations.

For this purpose, high-end metrology solutions for the aerospace industry are required – which is one of ZEISS’ specialties.
